The film is set in early 11th century China during the reign of Emperor Renzong of the Song dynasty. The emperor, a womanizer, neglects state affairs and indulges in personal pleasures, while the government sinks into corruption and war continues to rage on at the borders of the Song dynasty.
Yang Zongbao is the last man standing in the Yang clan, a family of generals who have dedicated their lives to defending the Song dynasty from foreign invaders. However, he apparently dies in battle tragically. Yang Zongbao’s widowed wife, Mu Guiying, leads the other widowed women of the Yang clan into battle to continue the legacy of their husbands. A bloody battle begins.

„Verein der Koreanischen Literaten in Deutschland“ already existed for 12 years in Germany and will hold their 9th book presentation and their spring-time seminar on May 30th, 6 p.m. in the Korean Cultural Center Berlin.
22 members present their poems, essays and short stories in Korean language, which Ms. Christiane Droz translates to German. The second part of this event consists of a lecture by Dr. Sylvia Bräsel about the literary world of Mi Rok Li and his legacies.
