The name Rabindranath Tagore needs no introduction to anybody associated with India. The first Nobel Laureate of India, Tagore is a symbol of Bengali identity and culture. Two countries of the world use his compositions as their national songs. Tagore was foremost a poet, but he was also a gifted musician, a novelist and even a painter. His music combines Indian classical music, the ragas, with poetry to form his own unique style called Rabindra Sangeet.
At almost 23 years of age, Shujana was far from all domestic things. Since she had learned to write, it was unbearable with her. She remained in the temple until the Pandit arrived. With him she was reading the sacred hymns and was determined to study the fundamental works of the Patanjali in original language.
To her mother, her intelligence was a constant cause for concern, but for the girl it was a misfortune. But there was something in her live, which was not included in the tradition of her house: In a moment of levity the Creator had equipped her with more spiritual gifts than befitting for a woman. In her mind, she was free, she was herself:
“If life wildly indignant it knows no crampyness, no hard anymore. When tendons and pursuit overflowing, they fear nothing in the world. So much to say so much to sing, so much strength I have! So great is my happiness, so deeply desire, entranced by the life I am. “
If a tiny seed particle is lifted by the wind into the air on a solid building, one day, sprouts will come out of the Ashath tree seed. And finally the young sprout shoot breaks up the stone balustrade. Just like this particle of life wafted from somewhere into the rigid mode of their family existence. Since then, the old order has a crack.
Why it was so, is reported here:
Aamar Mukti – The courage to take an own way!
